Is Content Marketing Traditional Advertising’s New Rival? [Infographic]

It’s a contentious issue amongst marketers, but there is a view that content marketing is a threat to traditional advertising.
Arguably, effective and consistent content marketing rolled out across an ever-expanding range of platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Path, Instagram etc) engages audiences in ways that traditional advertising just can’t. But let’s not give up on the ads just yet. Broadcast, billboard, print and ambient advertising have the capacity to be equally as compelling and have certainly been responsible for some of the most creative marketing ideas, period.
There can be no denying that there’s an evolving landscape out there for marketers – but surely effective media is not about one channel or the other – effective marketing and advertising reaches audiences across multiple channels that compliment one another.
